How do staff clock in from their phone with TramitApp?
The employee opens the TramitApp app on their phone (iOS or Android) and taps in, break or out. The clock-in is recorded instantly on the HR dashboard with a server timestamp and, if you switch it on, with GPS location of the site.
Do staff need an internet connection to clock in?
To clock in from the app, yes: the phone needs mobile data or Wi-Fi. If there's no signal at your site, the clocking-in kiosk on a tablet can clock in offline and sync as soon as it's back online: it's an option that isn't switched on by default.
Is clocking in from a phone valid for the Spanish labour inspectorate?
Yes. Clocking in from the TramitApp app complies with Spanish Royal Decree-Law 8/2019: it records the exact time, keeps it for 4 years as Spanish law requires and exports it to PDF or Excel for the Spanish labour inspectorate. Any later correction keeps a record of who made it, when and why.
Can staff clock in on WhatsApp instead of the app?
Yes. If your company switches on WhatsApp clocking in, you link your phone once from your profile and from then on you clock in by messaging the TramitApp assistant in the WhatsApp or Telegram chat, without opening the app. You can also ask it for your status, history and schedule.
What happens if an employee forgets to clock in on their phone?
TramitApp sends an automatic reminder to any employee who hasn't clocked in, to avoid slip-ups and mismatches in the hours balance. If a clock-in has already been missed, the manager can correct it from their dashboard, with a record of who made the change and when. Can I restrict mobile clocking in to a set radius around each site?
Yes. You can set a clocking-in radius in metres for each site: if the employee tries to clock in outside that radius, the clock-in isn't assigned. It's different from the IP restriction in the web version, which limits by network rather than by GPS location, and it can be combined with geolocation.
