Two ways to clock in with the same system: the employee shows their QR code at the kiosk, or scans the company QR code shown on the kiosk with their phone. Put the kiosk at the entrance, in reception or at the shop counter, and you have QR code clocking in for the whole site at a single point.

QR code clocking in FAQs
How do staff clock in at work with a QR code?
There are two ways to clock in with a QR code in TramitApp: the employee opens their dynamic QR code in the app and scans it at the kiosk (the site's dedicated tablet), or uses their own phone to scan the fixed company QR code shown on the kiosk screen. Either way, the clock-in is recorded with a server timestamp on the HR dashboard.
How do I stop someone clocking in with a photo of the QR code?
The employee's QR code refreshes every 10 seconds, so a photo stops working almost instantly; there's also a minimum wait of 30 seconds between clock-ins. If you suspect someone has photographed the permanent QR code (the profile one or the one on the kiosk screen), you reset it with the ‘Reset QR’ button. No geolocation or biometric data is used on this channel.
When is QR code clocking in better, and when is GPS clocking in better?
QR is the simplest option if the team always clocks in from the same site. GPS clocking in is better when the workplace changes: home care workers, delivery drivers, sales reps or crews moving between sites, visits or locations.
What happens if the QR clocking-in kiosk loses its internet connection?
We have the option: the kiosk can keep clocking in without an internet connection and sync the clock-ins as soon as it's back online, although it isn't switched on by default. If your company needs it, tell us in the demo and we'll find the best solution for you.
Is each employee's QR code always the same, or does it change?
There are two different QR codes, and it's worth not mixing them up. The one used to clock in at the kiosk is dynamic: it regenerates every 10 seconds, precisely so a photo can't be used to clock in for someone else. Separately, each employee has a fixed personal QR codein their profile, which doesn't change unless it's regenerated manually and is meant for other uses, not for the clock-in code that rotates every 10 seconds.
Can I print each employee's QR code so they can carry it?
Yes. TramitApp generates the QR codes as a PDF ready to print, six per page, and also offers each employee's pass for Google Wallet.
